Welcome, we are Amelia and Pablo, artisans at Los Jabones de mi Mujer, a cosmetic laboratory that, since 2006, has been manufacturing natural products for people with sensitive skin.
A little history
Since we landed in our country house in the year 2000 at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, in the picturesque province of Segovia - Spain, it seems that our dreams come true. Mother Nature is an overwhelming element that has inspired the creation of Los Jabones de Mi Mujer; the result of life in the countryside and the search for the benefits that nature offers us.
Having watched the locals make the typical soap of any rural area, Amelia decided to combine her curiosity and professional experience to formulate a fine handcrafted Natural Ingredients® soap especially for sensitive skin like hers. It couldn't be just any soap. All the ingredients had to be of natural origin and of the best quality. Inspired by her botanical knowledge, natural surroundings, childhood memories and culinary curiosity, it was a matter of little time and great effort to create what is now "Los Jabones de Mi Mujer".
Thus began an incredible journey. As we received more and more requests for our soap, the weekend was not long enough to meet the demand. Amelia left her workplace in haute perfumery and launched herself into the challenge of becoming an entrepreneurial woman to develop the project and obtain the sanitary permits, and together with her husband Pablo, she converted the old school in the town into a completely renovated laboratory and store. After two years of preparation, we opened a store in the Segovian town where it all began, Santiuste de Pedraza, currently part of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park.
Amelia is mainly dedicated to the formulation, manufacture and development of the products and attends to the visitors to the store while Pablo deals with marketing. Distribution took off with our first four formulations: Shea Butter Soap, Cocoa Butter Soap, Carrot & Neroli Soap and Beeswax & Honey Soap. Our growing catalog currently includes twelve fine natural soaps and bath salts.
In 2021 we celebrate our fifteenth anniversary and continue our journey with an indisputable reputation for producing an unbeatable quality product.
Tradition and technology
The Spanish Medicines Agency endorses the production of Los Jabones de Mi Mujer as an authorized cosmetic manufacturer. The origin of the ingredients used and the artisanal processes are subjected to rigorous control. The analysis of all batches in the laboratory guarantees the highest quality of the products and their safe use for the skin. All products are indicated for the cosmetic treatment of the skin.
Our illusion is linked to a great management effort to cover expenses that are associated with the official regulations. Since June 2013, the requirements are even more rigorous due to the entry into force of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and the Council on Cosmetic Products.
